K-Pop wave
Hello everyone! \(^o^)/ So i've wanted to ask something for some time, What do you guys think about K-pop? do you like it? you don't? and if you do what bands do you like? I do like K-pop I think they have really good enery, and it's very fun to watch and listen to..one of my favorite ones is SHINee and 2ne1, But i personally like more japaneese music, especially visual-kei, I was very surprised when i knew Aiji also liked it , for example Big bang... so I want to know what do you guys think! Thank you!
Re: K-Pop wave
Well, I like K-Pop, I think it's a nice change to japanese music (though I prefer J-Rock :D). I also like SHINee and 2ne1 & I like Big Bang, SS501 ... I think that's it, pretty much xD
Re: K-Pop wave
Personally, I don't like K-pop. Because in my ears it sounds too similar to western music. I have nothing against the bands themselves even if I say it's too commercial, if they are composed only of good looking boys/girls... That's just my point of view, but they do a good job.
But. I don't like some parts of their fans.
Obviously the ones who fangirlise over the members' looks and call themselves true fans.
And the other part is, the people who used to like japanese music (visual kei as well as 'regular' j-rock, pop, etc), saying they were great fans, and they would never leave japanese music because it sounded so different from western music. Then turned to k-pop when it became trending, and never listen to j-music anymore, saying exactly the same.
I guess this behaviour is what we call being young and searching yourself. But still, I don't like it.

Re: K-Pop wave
I agree with Hika-Chan, though I like some musics. I'm not a big fan of KPop but I can listen to some songs (like "Gee" (SNSD), "Midnight Circus", by Sunny Hill and "Magic Girl", by Orange Caramel). I have nothing agains KPop or its fans, but between KPop and J-Music I go for Japanese music. ♥
Re: K-Pop wave
I'd also go for Japanese music :3 ♥
Sometimes I really like listeining to K-Pop, like SHINee, 2ne1, BIG BANG and stuff, but that's just sometimes and then for about one or two hours xD After that it starts to annoy me, so~ xD
But I really have nothing against K-Pop ^_^

Re: K-Pop wave
Thank you for telling me your opinions! I really apreciate them! I agree with all of you, as Hika-chan said there's always gonna be that kind of fans, that actually are not true fans you know? unlike them we have to show our support for LM.C and for the music and the bands we love always!
So... as I expected J-Rock won! woohoo

Re: K-Pop wave
I like some KPOP. I wont say I like a group, as such, more... I like some songs.
Like... a couple of Big Bang songs, some 2NE1, some TEEN TOP, I really like a lot of Supreme Team stuff.
I'm the kind of person who will listen to almost anything, genre doesn't matter to me, as long as a song is good I'll listen. lol. But mostly I listen to JROCK more than anything.

Re: K-Pop wave
I liked SHINee only before, but now I'm starting to like EXO. And I love 2NE1~ I'm actually fine with listening to different music styles, and I think it's because of LM.C's electronic sounds that I enjoy more of these genres now.
Re: K-Pop wave
Well, i think K-pop is cool !! but still J-rock is more awsome ♥
there are a lot of k-pop bands that i like !! like 2NE1 , SHINee (like you >w<) and Suju :3 ♥
but also there are bands that use drums, guitars and basses , that's awsome !! (most of k-pop bands use Music Box) like F.T Island and C.N Blue !! :D

Re: K-Pop wave
I've only started getting into K-pop barely a year ago when a friend from my dance school showed me a video of SHINee practicing their Lucifer dance. I fell in love with Taemin (more like his shirt XD) and started to listen to their songs. It just naturally got to where I started searching for more Kpop songs (because they do have addicting choreography) and got to where I am now. It was the same cycle with Jrock for me too XD I do agree Jrock is hard to beat though<3 I also enjoy the variety shows these Kpop groups appear on XD Can't stop laughing at their humor.
Re: K-Pop wave
Personally I came to like Kpop first before Jrock/visual Kei.
Its so weird now that kpop is so known all over the world.
But yeah,I prefer Jrock than kpop since im more into rock and LM.C's songs are quite unique and stuff.
There are kpop songs that I like but I'm not a hardcore fan though..as long as it catchy then I come to like it xD
I guess it all depends of the melody and such ^^,
