Perfect Rainbow Review
Here we go~
First of all, let's talk about the title. Well, it was expected that it'll fit with Perfect Fantasy but I have to say that I don't like it very much. Couldn't really describe why, somehow it's too clear... Not that catchy and unclear like Strong Pop or Gimmical Impact for example.
The cover is really nice to look at. Modern and simple~ Maybe my favourite cover since now.
I bought the limited edition and I have to say that the special contents are only necessary for kinda "hardcore" fans. The pictures in the booklet are nice, but I prefered the pictures in the Perfect Fantasy booklet. And the DVD is really short (just around 9min), not that interesting like the other special DVDs they sold together with 88 for example. Ok, sounds negative here, I don't regret that I bought it, I just think that it's really just interesting for people who are kind of obsessed xD
Let's start with the most important thing now: The music!
VantaBLACK - Neo Fantasia was such a nice and emotional Intro, same with VantaBLACK. The piano part is so touching. Sure it would make me cry when maya and Aiji enter the stage during this melody!
JUST LIKE THIS!! - Piano part continues and flows into the well known LM.C-ish electronic beat. The lyrics (as far as I can understand them) are on point and I'm sure we'll all just need a little bit pratice until we can sing along. Every Wonderholic just need to love this song. It's LM.C on the top of perfection!
MOGURA - When I saw the MV for the first time, I was sure that this song will be one of the best song of Perfect Rainbow. It is a good song, heavy and kinda invitation for headbanging. I like it a lot and the MV has got a nice concept (though Aiji is not shown very often).
Amnizia - Typical LM.C scheme, I think. Catchy & danceable. But not with a little new taste like the other songs.
Minor Leaguers' Song - To be true, it's the only song I'm not fallen for. When I listened to it for the first time I was kind "Oh no... please not such a thing.", but the more I listen to it the more I like it. The rap part in the middle is really nice and saves the whole song for me :D What I dislike the most is this trumpet thing (it's the melody of a song which my mom often sing for me when I was a baby. It's called "Twinkle twinkle little star", some of you may know it?!)
LADY TALK - Still can't decide if JUST LIKE THIS!! or LADY TALK is my favourite song. The 80's sound surprised me a bit but it fits well together with the LM.C-ish sound. A perfect summer sound~ Can's wait to find a lyrics translation somewhere.
Kimiyosaraba - Kinda ballade compared to the rest of the album. It reminds me of Bokura no Mirai. Though it's a deep song it's also powerful and the intro of the song is so touching.
Brand New Rainbow - Again some new tastes, a typical LM.C hymn at the end but with more character than DIVE TO FANTASY. I like powerful endings, they make me wanna hear the CD once again ;D
All in all I have to say it's close to Strong Pop, which was my favourite album until now. Now I just need the memories to get linked with Perfect Rainbow *praying for a world tour* I like how LM.C mix the new sounds with the typical LM.C sound - it's 100% LM.C without repeats or losing themselves. Extremly refreshing. (And I'm sure the album is much more better than most of us expected it to be.)
Thanks for reading. I hope it wasn't too boring. And keep on supporting LM.C!! ;)
(Sorry if there are any language faults orz)

Re: Perfect Rainbow Review
I think PF and PR together would be enough to compete with their previous albums. You have some typical songs on each album (the heavy one, the ballad, the lullaby, the positive one, the mysterious one etc etc)
The "twinkle little star" song is famous, we have a French version. It made me laugh so hard. But the song itself has a classic rock style and a feel-good atmosphere, I really like it♥
I'd add I liked the "un, deux, trois" at the beginning of Brand New Rainbow.
And LADY TALK (Baby Talk's counterpart?) reminds me soooooo much of this French band called Indochine, their 80s works like L'Aventurier, which is a really famous song (listen to the synth and the percussions)

Re: Perfect Rainbow Review
I think most countries know Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. lol. I like that added in, i mean, it's LM.C... and that's about stars. I laughed when i heard it first too, to me it just fits and I think it's cute~
Re: Perfect Rainbow Review
yep, that was exactly my thoughts. Except the French version is nothing about stars... still fits LM.C.
- Spoiler:
Ah ! Vous dirai-je Maman
Ce qui cause mon tourment ?
Papa veut que je raisonne
Comme une grande personne
Moi je dis que les bonbons
Valent mieux que la raison.
translation:
Oh! Shall I tell you, Mommy
What is tormenting me?
Daddy wants me to reason
Like a grown-up person,
Me, I say that sweets
Are worth more than reasoning.
Re: Perfect Rainbow Review
I just knew the english version but the german lyrics are exactly the same like the english lyrics ;)
It's fits with LM.C, but I can not identify myself with this song anymore so that's why it confuses me :D
I didn't recognized the "un, deux, trois" before, it's cool, I think. I wonder, if I'd recognize if maya would add a german word. (it's really hard for me to understand dialects... orz)

Re: Perfect Rainbow Review
Well, the Spanish version is about stars: it's like: estrellita, ¿Dónde estás? ...something like this XD. Referring to Perfect Rainbow, I really like this album. I told once in a latinamerican community that we must be patient about the changes in LM.C and now they're improving in this change. I hope they get better works in the future. I give them...8 jumbitos (out of 10)
